Nestled in the embrace of history, Alexandria, one of the most beautiful cities on the Mediterranean Sea, beckons with its enchanting charm and rich heritage dating back to Alexander the Great. Delve into a journey of discovery as you immerse yourself in the allure of its past and uncover its iconic landmarks.

Commence with a visit to the Citadel of Qaitbay. Around 1480 AD, Mameluke Sultan Al-Ashraf Qaitbay fortified the site, preserving the remnants of the Alexandria Lighthouse.

Continuing your exploration, Pompey's Pillar emerges as the next highlight on your itinerary—a commanding red granite memorial column that stands as a testament to ancient grandeur. Marvel at its imposing presence and absorb the historical significance it holds within Alexandria's rich tapestry.

Next, the New Alexandria Library (Bibliotheca Alexandrina), inaugurated on October 16, 2002, stands as a modern intellectual hub with shelf space for eight million books distributed across eleven levels in its main reading room.

After breakfast, your journey unfolds with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, offering a mesmerizing glimpse of King Tutankhamen's wonders, including his renowned golden death mask. Lose yourself in the museum's myriad rooms and galleries, showcasing a wealth of artifacts.

The exploration continues with a visit to the Citadel of Saladin, a fortress constructed between 1176 and 1183 AD for the defense of Cairo against Crusaders. Rebuilt by Muhammad Ali Pasha, the fortress houses a captivating mosque that is a must-see.

At around 8:15 am, you'll reach Aswan train station, where our representative will be waiting to greet you and provide assistance. They'll then escort you to your hotel for a smooth check-in process, then enjoy breakfast. 

Later in the afternoon, you'll be transported to witness the High Dam; an engineering marvel, stands as the world's largest rock-filled dam, a testament to human ingenuity and resourcefulness. 

The high dam is constructed on the Nile River and plays a pivotal role in controlling the river's flow, providing hydroelectric power, and ensuring water resources for agriculture in the region. 

Follow with a delightful lunch at a local restaurant.

Following this, enjoy a brief sail to the Temple of Philae, relocated to the island of Agilika due to the submersion of its original site by the waters of Lake Nasser.

Following breakfast, it's time for check-out, after which you'll be greeted and supported by our representative, who will escort you to your cruise boat—the floating hotel for your upcoming three-night stay.

Optional Excursion: You have the opportunity to visit Abu Simbel to witness the awe-inspiring temples, originally carved out of a rocky mountainside by King Ramses II.

As a new day dawns, savor your first breakfast on board while the boat sails majestically toward Kom Ombo. 

Next, your journey takes you to the awe-inspiring Temple of Kom Ombo, an ancient marvel dedicated to the  respected  gods: Horus, the falcon-headed deity representing kingship and protection, and Sobek, the crocodile-headed god symbolizing fertility and strength. 

After the visit, you will return to the boat for your lunch while it sails onward to Edfu.

Situated in Edfu, the Temple of Horus stands as a remarkable testament to ancient Egyptian architecture and religious devotion. This well-preserved temple, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, offers a captivating glimpse into the grandeur of pharaonic worship and artistic mastery. Following your exploration of Edfu, you'll be comfortably transported back to the boat with ample time to spare before it embarks from Edfu and heads towards Esna.

Once there, you'll have the opportunity to observe as the boat navigates through the Esna locks.

After navigating through the locks, the voyage continues towards Luxor. Dinner will be served as you delight in the picturesque views along the Nile, enhancing your journey's experience.
